yarn with a story

Source:

Many small farmers have animals that need to be shorn, however the cost of turning that fleece into usable yarn can be unsustainable in small batches. That’s where I come in. I collect the fleece and fiber from multiple small farms throughout the Carolinas which allows me to send a large quantity to the mill at a reasonable cost.

Connection:

I love to be involved with every step. That entails visiting every farm and meeting the animals that produce the fiber. My connection with the farmers and homesteaders at every step of the process allows me to create a product I am passionate about.

Impact:

With this company I wish to bridge the gap between producers and makers. My joy comes from giving homesteaders a sense of purpose with regard to their fiber, and create a product knitters and crocheters will enjoy. I want to inspire more fiber artists and makers to know the story of their yarn from sheep to skein.
